The eagle-eyed among you will have noticed a few changes in Country Living's April issue. As Country Living enters its fifth decade, a significant refresh just went underway. New look, new sections, new audiences – and a clearer, more prominent place for artisans at the heart of the magazine.
The maker has always been central to Country Living
At the heart of Country Living has always been the maker — the person behind the product, the craft, the care, the story of how something came to be. That hasn't changed, but with the April 2026 issue, it has been made more visible than ever.
A new look for a new decade
The April issue marks the most significant refresh the magazine has seen in years – with a redesigned layout, new typography and a cleaner, more modern feel throughout. New sections and formats reflect a readership that spans both rural and urban communities. The refresh launches with a new tagline – The countryside is yours – alongside new contributors and sections covering food and travel, dogs, craft, homes and gardens.
Artisans get their own section
Country Living has a dedicated section – “Artisan”, a permanent, named editorial space that runs in every issue. Not a sidebar or an occasional feature, but a consistent strand of the magazine sitting alongside its established homes, food and garden coverage.
For independent makers, it means regular visibility with a readership that actively seeks out craft, quality and the stories behind the things they buy.
The Country Living Approved stamp
You'll also see the Country Living Approved stamp used more prominently throughout the magazine. Given to Artisan Collective members, it is a simple but meaningful way to highlight artisans – celebrating creativity, craftsmanship and individuality, while creating a stronger visual thread across the brand.
A new chapter for the artisan community
The values that have always defined Country Living haven't changed, the space given to independent artisan businesses just got bigger.
