Inspired by their natural grace and elegance, I started making wire sculptures a few years ago, first at the kitchen table and now in my studio.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eI start each bird with a series of drawings, and then create a basic wire form.  Following on from this, I add delicate layers of galvanised hexagonal wire and areas of detail, before painting and mounting the final piece.
