Hand-shaped from premium white stoneware at my workbench on the Hampshire Downs, this piece features a highly unique surface texture carved entirely by hand. The chiseled ridges run in varying directions, catching the daylight beautifully on a window sill or shelf.

The entire piece is finished in a specialty black lava glaze that reacts uniquely in the kiln, bubbling and cratering to create a heavily textured, volcanic stone finish. With its strong silhouette and a gently waving, organic rim, it sits comfortably as a center piece on a dining table without obstructing the view across the setting.

Because this is an artisan fine art object designed to showcase the highly unique, textured glaze, it is not intended to hold water.
