Adele’s Natural Soaps

I'm Adele and I live in a cottage in the South Downs National Park in West Sussex with my large blended family, home life and the surrounding countryside inspire everything I make. I have always had an acute sense of smell and my business began with one extraordinary scent, rose geranium essential oil. I became fascinated by the way essential oils can transform mood and create a feeling of wellbeing.

I first experimented with candle making, but when I could not achieve the intensity of scent I wanted naturally, I discovered traditional cold process soap making and completely fell in love with the craft.

Today I make handmade soaps, shower steamers and bath and shower products in small batches using pure plant based ingredients, essential oils, clays, herbs and botanical infusions. My soaps retain their natural glycerin, creating a rich creamy lather that feels gentle and nourishing on the skin. I never use artificial colours, palm oil or preservatives and all my packaging is recyclable.

Inspired by the way I cook, always simple seasonal and natural, I use mint, thyme and lavender from my cottage garden to infuse and decorate my products. I hope every bar and every scent brings a little piece of the South Downs into peoples homes.
