Curious Magpie Jewellery

Each piece of jewellery I create is lovingly handcrafted in my rural Leicestershire studio, inspired by the beauty and wonder of the British countryside.

I’ve always been drawn to shiny treasures. As a child, I loved rummaging through my grandmother’s jewellery box, adorning myself with her sparkling pieces from head to toe. That early curiosity blossomed into a lifelong passion, and in 2015 I followed my dream by founding Curious Magpie Jewellery.

My work is inspired by natural treasures found in woodlands and meadows, from pinecones and acorns to twigs and seeds. Many of these are carefully transformed into solid metal replicas using the ancient art of Lost Wax Casting. Each piece is entirely unique, capturing the delicate textures of nature and celebrating its organic, tactile beauty.

I work with a variety of materials, including Sterling Silver, 9ct Yellow Gold, Gold Fill, and Pink Bronze — a distinctive alloy of bronze and copper used in my signature pinecone necklaces.

Alongside my collections, I love creating bespoke designs and commissions, working closely with customers to bring their ideas to life. For me, jewellery is more than something to wear — it tells a story, preserves a memory, and becomes a personal treasure.

With over 20 years at the bench and a BA (Hons) in Jewellery Design, I’ve honed my craft with jewellery houses in Birmingham and London. Now, in my garden studio, I do what I love most: creating meaningful pieces to be cherished for years to come.
