Knots of Pine

I’m Jay, the designer and maker behind Knots of Pine, a small handmade wooden home decor business based in the UK. Taking inspiration from the changing seasons and everyday things around me, I create colourful wooden decorations and gifts designed to be treasured and brought out year after year.

Every piece begins as my own design before being made in my home workshop using a combination of traditional scroll saw techniques and laser cutting. I then carefully hand-paint and finish each piece, bringing together pretty colours, natural wood grain and my signature polka dots to create the whimsical style that runs throughout my collection.

My designs celebrate the little things that make a home feel special, from seasonal decorations and wooden flowers to personalised keepsakes and thoughtful gifts. You’ll also find pieces inspired by gardens, books, wildlife and the countryside, with collections changing throughout the year to reflect the seasons.

I make my pieces in small quantities and try to use my materials thoughtfully, including transforming smaller wood offcuts into new creations wherever possible. I also use plastic-free packaging when sending my work on its way to its new home.
