Lish Ceramics

Hello, I'm Lindsey, the clay covered hands behind Lish Ceramics. Working from my garden studio in East Sussex, I find inspiration in the flora and fauna of the surrounding countryside. With a background in Product Design and a love of colourful, handmade home accessories, Lish Ceramics are made to be used and make home feel special.

Using durable stoneware and porcelain clays, using hand building techniques and throwing on the wheel, Lish Ceramics are decorated with underglazes, oxides and slips for texture & colour, fired, then glazed and fired again in excess of 1200°C, with gold lustre added and a third firing for some pieces.

Sustainability is important to me, I fire efficient, well insulated electric kilns only when full, using a renewable energy supplier. Water in the studio is filtered and recycled, and clay trimmings are reclaimed to be reused.

From useful berry bowls and butter dishes (microwave and dishwasher safe*), to whimsical hare sculptures, every piece is unique; thoughtfully designed and carefully made to be enjoyed and treasured for many years.

*Pieces decorated with gold lustre must not be microwaved or cleaned in a dishwasher.
