All my work is united by a common theme: the joy that I find in creating and telling stories. I strive to create the essence of a moment in time just before the subject moves or the scene changes, continuing a story outside of the frame.

A lifelong passion for horses and animals informs my graphite pencil drawings. I am meticulous about detail! I endeavour to evoke the feeling that you could reach out and touch the subject, knowing what it would feel like.

My pen and ink work focuses on describing landscapes through patterns. I allow my lines to meander and flow across the page as though I am walking the landscape I’m drawing. I want the viewer to take a moment to follow those lines into the landscape and see where they lead.

Watching a new drawing evolve on the paper is exciting every time and when I feel a sense of balance and harmony in a piece I know it is complete. I hope as you browse my work you will feel a sense of knowing when that special piece captures a place in your heart and home.
