Six Acre Meadow

I am a professionally trained fashion designer based in the UK and the maker behind Six Acre Meadow, a small business rooted in creativity, nostalgia and a love of all things handmade. I started Six Acre Meadow after graduating from University in Fashion Design in 2007 but it wasn't until I left my Head Designer position for a fashion brand in 2019 that I pursued it entirely, wanting to return to the thoughtful, hands-on work I first fell in love with at university.

Inspired by nature, vintage textiles and a sense of quiet romance, my work is designed to bring beauty to everyday moments. The name Six Acre Meadow comes from the riverside setting of Millais’ Ophelia, reflecting the softness and dreamlike quality that runs through my designs.

I create small-batch, thoughtfully made pieces including handmade, gift bags, tea towels, other homeware, clothing and accessories. My gift bags are especially loved as meaningful, reusable alternatives to traditional gift wrap, designed to be kept and used long after the moment has passed. Many of my products feature botanical prints and are made using sustainable methods as often as possible.

Everything is designed and predominantly made by me in small quantities or made-to-order, with an emphasis on longevity, practicality and charm. I design intuitively rather than following trends, creating pieces that feel personal, considered and made to be treasured for years to come.
