Bonjour et bienvenue! I am Sophie, the jewellery designer maker behind Essemgé. I work from my studio atelier by the iconic Thames Barrier where I create sophisticated eye-catching jewellery for multi award-winning brand Essemgé.
Essemgé stands for ‘SMG’, her initials in French.
I love mixing traditional codes with modern bold and confident lines, and create high quality distinctive pieces of jewellery that will inspire you to express your personality.
Effortlessly chic, timeless with just enough of an edge to feel individual, Essemgé jewellery will make you feel and look at your best, radiant, upbeat, ready to take on the world!
Passionate about responsible making, I am an advocate of 'slow jewellery'. I make each adornment by hand from recycled materials using traditional techniques and tools.
In addition to ready-to-wear collections you will find one-of-a-kind collectors pieces. I also offer bespoke commission services and repair / transformation services of old treasures. Do not hesitate to reach out and enquire.
Enjoy that amazing uplifting feeling whenever you wear an Essemgé creation. And remember, 'Forget Fashion, Embrace Style!'
