A Unique Wood Resin Sculpture: Dual Mappa Burr Meets Deep Green Resin
Hand-turned in our UK workshop, this beautiful wood art captures the dynamic contrast between natural mappa burr and vibrant green decorative resin. This particular piece is exceptionally unique, featuring a dual-burr design with intricate, wild edges positioned at both the top and bottom of the form. With a highly tactile, polished surface, it catches the light beautifully. If you are looking for small wooden art pieces to elevate a modern rustic space, these art vessels make an unforgettable visual impact.
Crafting Turned Art: The Technique Behind Our Hollow Forms
Every piece of crafted art begins as carefully selected timber. For this form, two distinct sections of mappa burr were meticulously suspended and pressure-cast with rich green resin, ensuring a completely solid, bubble-free hybrid blank. Carefully turned on the lathe and hollowed out through a delicate opening, this piece stands as a testament to the precision of artistic woodturning. As a dedicated wooden sculpture artist, I ensure each detail of the hand turned wood is celebrated and preserved under a flawless finish.
