Beginners can get started with wood block printing, a fun and relaxing textile craft with origins in India. With this kit you will learn how to combine blocks to make a pattern and produce a beautiful hand-printed cotton drawstring bag with floral motifs.
The wood blocks in the kit are designed by us in the UK and hand-carved by artisans in Jaipur, India.
The kit box is 28cm (w) x 19cm (d) x 8cm (h)
The kit contains:
1 cotton drawstring bag
2 paint pots (30ml water-based) & sponge
3 hand-carved blocks from India
1 piece cotton practice fabric
1 cotton felt printing mat
Printing instructions and link to video guide (for 2 pattern design options)
At home you'll need: An iron, paint tray/ plate, paper towel, baking paper, stiff bristle brush.
Suitable for beginners. Recommended age 8+ (under adult supervision).
