Based in my studio in the beautiful rural countryside of Lincolnshire I am a British pastel wildlife artist creating detailed, hand-crafted animal artwork inspired by the natural world, the British countryside and the wildlife that makes it so unique.
My path to becoming a full-time wildlife artist has been shaped by a lifelong connection to animals, nature and rural life. I spent 13 years working as a primary school teacher, where creativity and storytelling were at the heart of everything I did. I then worked for 8 years in arable farming, gaining a deep appreciation for British farmland, seasonal landscapes and the wildlife that thrives alongside agriculture. These experiences continue to inspire my work as I create authentic and characterful British wildlife and farm animal art.
Working from my home studio in Lincolnshire allows me to stay closely connected to the countryside that inspires my pastel artwork. My art celebrates a wide range of animals, from much-loved British farm animals to native wildlife species. I am especially passionate about raising awareness of endangered British wildlife species through my art, helping to highlight their beauty, importance and place within our natural environment.
All of my original wildlife artwork is completely hand crafted using professional artist materials. I specialise in pastel animal portraits created on Pastelmat and 100% linen surfaces. These high-quality materials allow me to build delicate layers, fine detail and realistic textures, helping me capture the personality, expression and natural beauty of each animal. My aim is to create lifelike British wildlife art that connects emotionally with collectors, animal lovers and countryside enthusiasts.
In addition to my original pastel artwork, I also offer high quality fine art wildlife prints and cards. Each print is produced from carefully scanned or professionally photographed original artwork to ensure exceptional detail and accuracy. All wildlife and animal prints are produced in my Lincolnshire studio, where I personally oversee the printing process and colour match each print to the original pastel artwork. This ensures every print maintains the richness, depth and authenticity of the original piece.
