A striking, dramatic decorative centerpiece for your table, designed to capture the deep elemental power of the coast. Individually hand-formed from premium porcelain at my Hampshire Downs workbench, this nested duo features a rugged, volcanic black finish that explores the dark, textured landscapes shaped by the sea.
The ‘Rocks of Life’ collection started on a relaxing and very warm summer holiday in Kefalonia. Whilst snorkelling I began looking more at pebbles, rocks and stones than the fish. An idea started to form exploring the connection between the elements with each piece holding hand chosen stones from these coastlines. Stones shaped and smoothed by the patience of water with clay that has transformed by the intensity of fire, reflecting the tension of how different experiences shape us.
Both bowls in this pairing are hand-carved in porcelain, showcasing a masterful juxtaposition of raw porcelain surfaces alongside rich, multi-layered glazes that mirror wet volcanic stone and deep sea troughs. Intricate carving and deep surface textures represent the profound impact of change and the marks left behind by our journeys. Designed as a nesting set, these two pieces hold and protect one another rather than standing in isolation, offering a sense of grounding, belonging, and calm to your interior styling.

Online Shop Returns
I really hope that you are happy with any piece that you purchase from me. However, if you are not, please contact me at snowdropstudio1@gmail.com within seven days of receiving your order and I will arrange a refund or an exchange where possible.
Items must be returned to me in the same condition in which they were sent. I am afraid I am not able to cover any of the return postage costs, and any refund given will have the original outbound postage costs deducted. The parcel remains your responsibility until it reaches me, so please ensure you obtain proof of postage when sending it back to my studio.
Shop Returns, Cancellations & Breakages
At Snowdrop Studio, I want you to completely love your unique handmade ceramics. Because every form follows an organic path, no two pieces are ever exactly alike, and slight variations in glaze and texture are part of each item's character.
Returns & Exchanges
- You may return standard, non-custom items within 14 days of delivery.
- Items must be returned unused, undamaged, and securely packed in their original packaging.
- Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. I highly recommend using a tracked, insured service, as a refund cannot be issued if the item is broken or lost on its journey back to the studio.
- Custom, bespoke, or personalized pieces cannot be returned or exchanged.
Cancellations
- If you change your mind, please request a cancellation within 24 hours of purchasing.
- Once an item has been dispatched, the order cannot be cancelled, but it can be processed as a return upon arrival.
Online Shop Breakages
- I take great care when packaging up your order to make sure it reaches you in one piece. Unfortunately, breakages do sometimes occur.
- If your item arrives broken, please photograph the item and email me at snowdropstudio1@gmail.com within two days of receiving it.
- I will arrange a replacement if possible, or a refund.
