A beautiful blend of Irish craft, coastal charm, and musical poetry, this handcrafted oyster shell ring and trinket box is made from a genuine shell gathered along Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way. Naturally shaped by the Atlantic Ocean, each piece is entirely unique, with its own texture, tone, and character.
The flat top shell forms a graceful lid, finished with a faux pearl knob that adds a touch of elegance and allows it to be lifted with ease. Inside, a meaningful lyric is revealed: “You’re the measure of my dreams”—a romantic line from The Pogues. These words speak of deep love and admiration, suggesting that the person they’re meant for sets the standard for all hopes, dreams, and happiness—someone who defines what truly matters.
The interior is carefully sealed with a smooth, glossy finish to protect the design while enhancing the natural beauty of the shell. The exterior is left largely untouched, preserving the raw, organic feel of the oyster as formed by the sea.
Perfect for storing rings, earrings, or tiny treasures, this trinket box is both practical and decorative. Whether given as a heartfelt gift or kept as a personal reminder of love and connection, it’s a piece that carries both coastal beauty and a touch of timeless Irish music. You're the measure of my dreams - Oyster ring dish
The oyster sits balanced on a ceramic tile base, forming a distinctive ring or trinket box that beautifully displays the shell’s rugged exterior. The sculptural form gives the piece an almost architectural presence, making it both a practical storage dish and a striking decorative object.
Please note that any embellishments may not perfectly match the colours or designs of the photographs shown. They will feature the same subject, but the design may differ.
Please note that our oyster ring / trinket dishes are individually made to order. Each shell passes through multiple stages of preparation and finishing to achieve a high-quality result. The final protective coating applied to the interior alone requires at least one week to cure properly. For this reason, please allow 1–2 weeks from the order date for your piece to be completed before it is dispatched.
These are wild, natural oyster shells gathered from the west coast of Ireland, and each one varies in size, shape, and natural markings. The average shell measures approximately 2″ × 3″, though some may be slightly shorter or taller, wider or narrower. As each piece is individually decorated by hand, the artwork will also vary, making every trinket dish truly unique. Any embellishments on the shell may change in design from time to time.
