Some cardigans fade into the background — this one doesn't try to. Bold stripes run across the body, finished with natural wooden buttons for a look that reads more grown-up than most babywear. It's hand-knitted, stitch by stitch, by women artisans in Bulgaria, in small runs rather than mass batches.
The yarn is 100% merino, certified to Oeko-Tex Standard 100, chosen for how gently it sits against a baby's skin. Worked in a thick knit, it's genuinely warm — a proper cold-weather layer rather than a light cardigan for indoors, and ideal over a bodysuit or long-sleeve top for outdoor play through autumn and into winter.
Where this piece really earns its keep is in the ribbed knit structure — part of Shooshon's Evergrow System, engineered specifically to flex and expand as a child grows. Rather than fitting one narrow window of months, it's built to stretch across sizes, so a single cardigan can realistically see a child through more than one season.
As with all hand-knitted Shooshon pieces, small variations in the yarn mean each cardigan is subtly unique — evidence of a human hand at work rather than a factory line, and the kind of detail that makes a piece worth handing down.
Care: cold hand or delicate wool-cycle wash (max 30°C). Dry flat.
Craft & Dispatch
Each Shooshon piece is handcrafted in small batches by skilled women artisans using traditional techniques and certified natural fibres.
Ready-to-ship items are dispatched within 2–4 working days.

Delivery
All UK orders are sent via a fully tracked delivery service.
Estimated delivery: 3–5 working days following dispatch.
Should you require expedited delivery, please contact us prior to purchase and we will endeavour to accommodate your request where possible.
Returns
We hope your Shooshon piece becomes something to treasure. However, should you wish to return an item, we accept returns within 30 days of delivery.
Returned items must be:
• Unworn
• In original condition
• With tags and packaging intact
Return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is confirmed to be faulty.
Refunds are processed within 5–7 working days of receiving and inspecting the return.
For hygiene reasons, certain accessories may be exempt from return unless faulty.
Faults or Concerns
Every garment is carefully inspected prior to dispatch. In the unlikely event that your order arrives with a fault, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery, including photographs, and we will resolve the matter promptly and fairly.
Care
Shooshon garments are created using natural fibres and traditional techniques. To preserve their beauty and longevity, we recommend gentle hand washing or a delicate wool cycle at low temperature, and drying flat.
With thoughtful care, each piece is designed to be worn, loved and passed on.
