It sits on top of a hand-knitted merino hat, certified to Oeko-Tex Standard 100, banded in a geometric border drawn from the folk knitting traditions of Bulgaria and the wider Balkan region.
That border isn't decorative filler — it's a pattern with history, the kind once knitted by mothers and grandmothers into clothes made for their own children. Here it's reimagined at a scale that fits a small head, on wool chosen specifically for how gently it treats young skin: warm without irritation, breathable enough not to overheat.
The stretchy knit gives a forgiving fit as your child grows, and the pom-pom itself is hand-made, not machine-attached — a small, tactile finishing touch typical of everything in this range.
Made in small batches by women artisans in Bulgaria, it completes the set alongside the matching Rhodope Winters gloves, jumper, and booties — ideal as a single gift or as part of a coordinated bundle.
Care: delicate or wool-cycle machine wash, cold water (max 30°C). Use a mesh laundry bag. Reshape and dry flat.
Craft & Dispatch
Each Shooshon piece is handcrafted in small batches by skilled women artisans using traditional techniques and certified natural fibres.
Ready-to-ship items are dispatched within 2–4 working days.

Delivery
All UK orders are sent via a fully tracked delivery service.
Estimated delivery: 3–5 working days following dispatch.
Should you require expedited delivery, please contact us prior to purchase and we will endeavour to accommodate your request where possible.
Returns
We hope your Shooshon piece becomes something to treasure. However, should you wish to return an item, we accept returns within 30 days of delivery.
Returned items must be:
• Unworn
• In original condition
• With tags and packaging intact
Return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is confirmed to be faulty.
Refunds are processed within 5–7 working days of receiving and inspecting the return.
For hygiene reasons, certain accessories may be exempt from return unless faulty.
Faults or Concerns
Every garment is carefully inspected prior to dispatch. In the unlikely event that your order arrives with a fault, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery, including photographs, and we will resolve the matter promptly and fairly.
Care
Shooshon garments are created using natural fibres and traditional techniques. To preserve their beauty and longevity, we recommend gentle hand washing or a delicate wool cycle at low temperature, and drying flat.
With thoughtful care, each piece is designed to be worn, loved and passed on.
