High up in Bulgaria's Rhodope Mountains, geometric knitting patterns have been passed from grandmother to mother to daughter for generations — each motif a small piece of inherited memory. This vest brings that heritage into a modern nursery, hand-knitted stitch by stitch by a small team of women artisans rather than machine-made in bulk.
The yarn is 100% merino wool, certified to Oeko-Tex Standard 100, chosen specifically for babies' sensitive skin. Merino has a natural advantage over synthetic alternatives: it regulates temperature on its own, so your little one stays comfortably warm without overheating — no need to fuss over layers. Slip it over a bodysuit for cool spring mornings, a shirt for a christening or family lunch, or a jumper once the frost sets in.
Because the knit has natural stretch, sizing isn't as rigid as it looks — most babies comfortably wear each size across several months of growth, so you're not replacing it every time they shoot up. The newborn size (0–12 months) has two extra neckline buttons, a small detail that makes a big difference during those early nappy-change-every-hour weeks.
No two vests are identical: hand-knitting means subtle variation from piece to piece, which is exactly the point — this isn't fast fashion, it's a garment with a story, built to be handed down rather than outgrown and binned.
Care instructions: hand wash or delicate wool cycle, max 30°C. Dry flat.
Craft & Dispatch
Each Shooshon piece is handcrafted in small batches by skilled women artisans using traditional techniques and certified natural fibres.
Ready-to-ship items are dispatched within 2–4 working days.

Delivery
All UK orders are sent via a fully tracked delivery service.
Estimated delivery: 3–5 working days following dispatch.
Should you require expedited delivery, please contact us prior to purchase and we will endeavour to accommodate your request where possible.
Returns
We hope your Shooshon piece becomes something to treasure. However, should you wish to return an item, we accept returns within 30 days of delivery.
Returned items must be:
• Unworn
• In original condition
• With tags and packaging intact
Return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is confirmed to be faulty.
Refunds are processed within 5–7 working days of receiving and inspecting the return.
For hygiene reasons, certain accessories may be exempt from return unless faulty.
Faults or Concerns
Every garment is carefully inspected prior to dispatch. In the unlikely event that your order arrives with a fault, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery, including photographs, and we will resolve the matter promptly and fairly.
Care
Shooshon garments are created using natural fibres and traditional techniques. To preserve their beauty and longevity, we recommend gentle hand washing or a delicate wool cycle at low temperature, and drying flat.
With thoughtful care, each piece is designed to be worn, loved and passed on.
