At the heart of this beautiful design sits a striking red cottage, surrounded by elegant floral motifs, winter berries and delightful birds. Inspired by the warmth and simplicity of traditional sampler embroidery, this project combines historic charm with colourful stitching to create a piece you'll treasure for years to come.
Part of the design is inspired by an original sampler stitched by 11-year-old Sarah Chapple in 1831, bringing a wonderful connection to the rich history of decorative needlework. Traditional motifs have been carefully reimagined and combined with contemporary hand embroidery techniques to create a design that feels both timeless and fresh.
As you stitch, berries, birds and floral details gradually emerge, creating a beautiful scene full of character and seasonal charm. Rich in colour and texture, this project offers a relaxing and rewarding stitching experience for embroiderers of all abilities.
The design is professionally pre-printed onto luxurious ivory cotton fabric, allowing you to begin stitching straight away without the need to transfer the pattern yourself.
This is a hand embroidery project and NOT a cross stitch or needlepoint design.
