BESPOKE TERMS GUIDANCE

When writing up your bespoke terms, which will be displayed on your Shopfront and on each Product Page, please see below our recommendations and guidance to ensure consistency for Customers.

Please remember when creating your Bespoke Terms, that you ensure your Shopfront complies with any brand guidelines and brand voice, as may be notified to you from time to time. We want to ensure the site reflects the Country Living brand and ethos to Customers, therefore please refer to our Brand Guidelines Policy for further information.

You are always responsible for ensuring that you, your Brand and your Product comply with all applicable laws and regulations at all times, and it is your responsibility to include all necessary information in your product description(s).

Age Restrictions:

For any age restricted products, please make this clear on the Product listing, including the reason for such restriction.

  • For example, for alcohol products, ensure it is clear to the customer that the product has an age restriction. Pursuant to the Licensing Act 2003, is it an offence to sell alcohol to minors (e.g., anyone under the age of 18). Your Bespoke Terms should explain how you will ensure that you are complying with the Licensing Act 2003 and other applicable regulations, e.g., that you will conduct doorstep age verification.
  • For any products which are for Children, we recommend you include the age recommendation, if applicable. For example, ‘This product is recommended for children aged 3 years or over.’
  • Ensure you write the age limit in numbers, not letters. And ensure it is clear to the customer within the product listing, as well as on your bespoke terms.
