Towpath Redbreast: a robin to keep your plants company all winter.
Every day there's a robin on the towpath, and another on a branch outside my window while I work. They watch me and I watch them. They're the first to sing on a frosty morning and the last to leave the light. This little robin is for them.
I cut each one by hand from red and russet-brown and wispy brown cream stained glass, with a glowing red breast and soldered lines that look like feathers. It perches on a curl of winter green leaves and red berries, on a stake you can push into any pot of soil. When the sun comes through the glass, the colours light up.
Towpath Redbreast is part of my Holytide collection, made slowly and by hand for anyone who loves the quiet side of Christmas.

Care
Dust it with a soft, dry brush or cloth, or wipe it with a barely damp cloth and dry it straight away. After Christmas, it can stay in a plant all year round.
