Hand-embroidered art depicting a common wasp drinking from a flower. Stitched using a needlepainting technique with fine silk floss thread on a silk/cotton blend fabric. The embroidery is displayed in glass hanging frame. A unique heirloom piece of embroidery.
Wasp 9cmx8cm
Stretched embroidery 20cmx15cm
Frame 25.5cmx21cm
Silk floss thread on silk/cotton blend fabric. The tiny hairs have been created by stitching Victoria's own hair into the piece as the silk floss thread just wasn't fine enough.
