The distinctive outline of a Comma butterfly lends these earrings their character. Detailed textile wings make a light, flexible pair with a natural sense of movement.
Created in Vikki Lafford Garside’s studio in Witney, Oxfordshire. Machine-embroidered and hand-painted fabric creates soft, flexible earrings with a lightweight feel. Sterling silver hooks complete the pair. Soft fabric covers the reverse. The tiny antennae are made from flexible beading wire.
A simple top or dress gives the textile detail room to stand out.
Each piece is individually made; small variations in colour, stitching and painted detail are part of its character.
