Soft fleece and ginger and black detail capture the tactile character of a common carder bumblebee. The embroidered brooch brings a small reminder of garden life to a scarf or lapel.
Created in Vikki Lafford Garside’s studio in Witney, Oxfordshire. Textile layers, machine embroidery and hand painting create a dimensional insect with flexible wings.
It sits beautifully on a lapel, scarf or hat, or use it as a decorative accent on a cushion or curtain.
Each piece is individually made; small variations in colour, stitching and painted detail are part of its character.
Details - Brooch: 4.5 cm × 6 cm. - Materials: fleece. - Fastening: brooch pin. - Packaging: 9 cm × 9 cm gift box.
Care Avoid submerging in water, high temperatures and prolonged direct sunlight. The flexible wings can be gently reshaped by hand, flattened or brought together to enhance their dimensional shape.
