Honey coloured fleece, embroidered with black detail and brown legs gives this honey bee a textured, lifelike appearance. The embroidered brooch celebrates a busy garden visitor in miniature.
Created in Vikki Lafford Garside’s studio in Witney, Oxfordshire. Textile layers, machine embroidery and hand painting create a dimensional insect with flexible wings.
It sits beautifully on a lapel, scarf or hat, or use it as a decorative accent on a cushion or curtain.
Each piece is individually made; small variations in colour, stitching and painted detail are part of its character.

Care Avoid submerging in water, high temperatures and prolonged direct sunlight. The flexible wings can be gently reshaped by hand, flattened or brought together to enhance their dimensional shape.
