The red rose of Lancashire becomes a richly textured textile brooch. Layered duchess satin, glass pearls and gold beads give the traditional emblem a decorative finish.
Created in Vikki Lafford Garside’s studio in Witney, Oxfordshire. Layers of duchess satin are machine-embroidered, then embellished by hand with glass pearls and gold beads. Hand-painted detail completes the finish.
It sits beautifully on a dress, coat, jacket or hat as a decorative nod to heritage.
Each piece is individually made; small variations in colour, stitching and painted detail are part of its character.
