The Painted Lady butterfly is interpreted in a pair of light textile earrings. Embroidery and painted accents pick out the detail of the softly flexible wings.
Created in Vikki Lafford Garside’s studio in Witney, Oxfordshire. Machine-embroidered and hand-painted fabric creates soft, flexible earrings with a lightweight feel. Sterling silver hooks complete the pair. Soft fabric covers the reverse. The tiny antennae are made from flexible beading wire; they so not scratch or snag.
A simple top or dress gives the textile detail room to stand out.
Each piece is individually made; small variations in colour, stitching and painted detail are part of its character.
Details - Earring drop: 8 cm. Width: 2.5 cm. - Materials: beading wire, sterling silver, fabric. - Packaging: small gift box.
Care Avoid submerging in water, high temperatures and prolonged direct sunlight. If wet, lay flat and leave to air dry.
