A Red Admiral butterfly inspires this pair of detailed textile earrings. The familiar garden visitor is recreated in embroidery and paint, suspended from sterling silver hooks.
Created in Vikki Lafford Garside’s studio in Witney, Oxfordshire. Machine-embroidered and hand-painted fabric creates soft, flexible earrings with a lightweight feel. Sterling silver hooks complete the pair. Soft fabric covers the reverse. The tiny antennae are made from flexible beading wire.
A simple top or dress gives the textile detail room to stand out.
Each piece is individually made; small variations in colour, stitching and painted detail are part of its character.
Details - Earring length from top of hook: 6.5 cm. Width: 2.3 cm. - Materials: beading wire, sterling silver, fabric. - Packaging: small gift box.
