A familiar garden butterfly is recreated in a pair of lightweight textile earrings. The Tortoiseshell's embroidered and painted wings combine statement detail with a softly flexible feel.
Created in Vikki Lafford Garside’s studio in Witney, Oxfordshire. Machine-embroidered and hand-painted fabric creates soft, flexible earrings with a lightweight feel. Sterling silver hooks complete the pair and soft fabric covers the reverse. The tiny antennae are made from soft and flexible beading wire so they don't snag or scratch.
Worn with a simple top or dress, these beautiful butterflies really make an elegant statement.
Each piece is individually made; small variations in colour, stitching and painted detail are part of its character.
Details - Earring length from top of hook: 7 cm. Width: 3 cm. - Materials: beading wire, sterling silver, fabric. - Packaging: small gift box.
