Hand crafted in the UK, this single colour print Robin mug, has a delicate cheerful bird in amongst some flowering Ivy all printed in a rich Russet hue. Lily's hand drawn design comes to life on the surface of this fine bone china mug, in a limited edition print run of 100 cups.
Perfectly proportioned, with a lovely thin lip, these mugs are hand printed for us in Stoke on Trent, the home of British ceramics. Presented in a mug gift box, and tucked in side you will find the studio’s favourite brew - a Westcountry Miles envelope tea bag. A gorgeous gift for the hot beverage lover in your life, or perhaps a seasonal update to your kitchen.
After unboxing these mugs we spotted a minor print error with the stamp on the bottom of the mug. Unfortunately these mugs say that they are a limited edition Acorn Mug, which they are not. This fault does not affect the purpose of the mug, or the design on the sides.
Lily was given the option of either have these cups destroyed and reprinted, or to accept them with a bit of a discount. It felt an unconscionable thing to do, to smash 100 mugs for the sake of one word being wrong. It goes against the grain of everything Lily believes in and the founding ethos of LF. So we decided to keep the cups, and celebrate them for being imperfect in an imperfect world.
