There's a warmth to rudbeckia that no other bloom quite carries that deep amber fading to gold at the centre, like the last hour of an autumn afternoon caught mid-bloom.
This piece brings that warmth into glass petals in soft honeyed orange, layered and hand-cut, gathered around a rich dappled gold heart.

Made using the traditional copper foil technique, each petal is cut, foiled, and soldered by hand aboard Willow, my narrowboat studio on the water so every piece carries a little of the towpath light it was born from.
Paired here with trailing willow in a simple stoneware vase, it sits beautifully as a standalone stem in any jar or bottle, catching the light on a windowsill the way it's catching it on mine.
