This organic cast sterling silver ring is inspired by the rugged beauty of my local beach in West Cornwall—where I often walk with my dog, Jess—this ring captures the intricate details of barnacles, creating a beautifully tactile piece that feels just like the real thing.
Each ring is first hand-carved in wax, with the barnacle texture carefully added once the shape is formed. It is then cast in recycled sterling silver using the ancient lost wax casting method, making every piece truly one of a kind.
With its tactile feel, it’s a lovely reminder of wandering among the rocks on a Cornish beach after the tide has gone out, and makes a meaningful and special gift, especially for those who love exploring the beach and rocky shorelines.
DIMENSIONS
With its naturally organic shape, the ring varies slightly in width, measuring approximately 9mm at its widest point and weighing around 8-9g.
