“Make a beginning. The oak is in the acorn.”
Drawing on the acorn’s connotation of something small but mighty, this memorial ashes pendant is cast from two halves of a fallen acorn collected on a foraging walk. The perfectly imperfect texture captures a snippet of nature, the acorn it's self reminds us of family time on woodland walks with children and our four-legged friends. I have this piece in gold to treasure my beloved Golden Retriever, Arnold.
Each piece is:
thoughtfully made by hand in my Nottinghamshire studio.
cast using sustainably sourced 925 sterling silver.
sealed using a heatless laser for permanence, its precious content kept safe forever.
will require you to send a small amount of ashes, hair or fur into the studio to seal inside the acorn, we will send you a pack through the post once an order is placed to help you do this.
Once you’ve purchased your chosen handmade design, I will be in touch by email to get started on your bespoke heirloom and guide you through the next steps of treasuring your story, which will involve sending in the ashes or other precious material to be sealed inside. Please note the bespoke process can take up to six weeks. We ask that you please make sure your contact details are correct at the checkout to allow me to make contact by post and email.

Shipping is charged £6 this covers the packaging and post using an insured and tracked first class service.
In stock orders are typically shipped within four working day. Personalised or 'sized' items such as rings and bangles may take longer, please see product descriptions. We typically post using Royal Mail tracked and signed for service which takes 24-48hrs, please note a signature will be required upon delivery. Currently, the Country Living Marketplace does not offer international shipping.

Hi I am Jessica, I handmake precious silver & gold jewellery cast from nature. I am inspired by the little finds I collect in my creel basket on hedgerow walks around our home village in rural Nottinghamshire. Cast and Found was created after I cast bark and twigs from our family coppicing woods to craft our own 18ct gold wedding bands.
