The first brave blooms of the year, reimagined. Those delicate nodding heads that push through frozen ground, here captured in twilight tones - as if glimpsed in a moonlit winter garden when the world has gone quiet and still.
This linocut portrays a cluster of snowdrops in shadowy purples and soft mauves, their white petals luminous against the darkness. Snowdrops bloom in the coldest, darkest months - perhaps they look most magical when seen by moonlight, standing brave against the winter night. Humble, hopeful, utterly dependable.
