The piece is largely opaque and looks best as a wall hanging where shifts in light and perspective as you move around the room make the most of the oil slick iridescent glass.
The glass starling is finished in shiny copper patina, which fades down to an aged copper patina. The piece is suspended on a copper-toned chain.
