Carole Morgan Hopkin lived here just outside Henley-on-Thames. It was a summer evening when she sketched the idea of this watercolour. The blue of the chintz chair covers matched the blue of the Thames as it glided past the open French windows. The wisteria wound around the pillars of the balcony and the sweet smell of the roses came through from the garden on the balmy air. Quintessential England!
The image measure 12" x 16" or 31 x 41cms. It is an original watercolour painted on the location of its subject. It is mounted.
