Willow's Wool Garden
Hellebores bloom when almost nothing else dares to pale as first frost, opening quietly through the coldest months. It's why they're called the Christmas rose, and why they felt like the right bloom to bring into wool for winter.
This posy gathers ivory and blush hellebores with deep berry-red blooms and clusters of hand-shaped berries, nestled among rich green foliage. Every petal, leaf, and berry is cut from wool felt sheets and shaped entirely by hand aboard Willow, my narrowboat studio no two posies ever quite the same, the way no two winters on the water ever are.
Unlike a cut bouquet, this one won't fade with the season. Sit it in a jug on the mantel through the darkest months, and it'll still be blooming come spring.
