Vintage Taylor’s Eye Witness Sheffield Antler Handled Cutlery Set for Six
A handsome vintage 12-piece dining cutlery set for six by renowned Sheffield maker Taylor’s Eye Witness, believed to date from around the 1960s/70s.
The set comprises six matching place settings, each with beautifully individual natural antler handles. The handles retain their wonderful natural variation, ranging from warm honey and caramel through to rich russet and dark brown, with each showing its own distinctive texture, shape and markings.
The polished stainless steel implements are finished with decorative silver-coloured ferrules and carry the Taylor’s Eye Witness, Sheffield England, Stainless maker’s mark.
Presented in its original fitted black case, with a dark interior and pale fabric-lined lid, this is a particularly attractive example of traditional Sheffield craftsmanship. The combination of natural antler and polished steel gives the set a wonderfully understated country-house character.
Perfect for a beautifully laid table, special occasions or simply for those who enjoy using well-made vintage pieces rather than keeping them tucked away for best.
