White Sparkles Christmas Bauble Candle | Christmas Tree Fragrance | Xmas Homeware
As featured in the Country Living Xmas Guide this large, handmade Christmas bauble candle is hand cast in white eco resin and hand-painted with a fine sparkle detail, the kind of piece made for a December morning that finally feels like Christmas: frost on the window, the kettle just boiled, the first box of decorations dragged down from the loft.
The White Xmas Bauble Candle is less a candle than a small piece of winter sculpture. Its soft white colour brings a little bit of sparkle to Christmas while the raised gold beading, hand-painted freehand so no two candles are ever quite the same, which makes every single bauble truly special. Because every bauble is handmade, no bauble will turn out exactly the same - there could be slight variations in colour or small air bubbles but this only adds to the character of a handmade item.
Large in scale, it is bigger than an orange and it holds its own on a mantel among pine boughs and trailing ivy, substantial enough to anchor a table setting without a single sprig of holly for company.
Light it, and the room fills with the scent of a real Christmas tree: fresh-cut fir and pine needle, with a whisper of cedar and clove beneath, the smell that pulls every memory of childhood Christmases straight back into the present. It is the scent of a house that has just brought its tree in from the cold.
Every one of these candles is poured, painted and sealed entirely by me, which means the making of it takes time nobody is in a hurry to rush. That slowness is rather the point. In a season that moves too fast, the parties, the wrapping, the endless list, a candle like this asks you to sit still for a moment and simply enjoy the glow. It is the kind of object that earns a place in the decorations box every year after this one, not disposable, not mass produced, but a small, sustainable luxury made to be lit, loved, and brought out again next December.
Whether it lives on your own mantel or is wrapped up for someone whose home always smells right at Christmas, this is a candle worth giving room to.
