Cosmetics Bag in Black and White

I’m Anne Twist, I founded Brownstone in 2018 after a career of over 25 years working as a retail buyer and a product supplier in mens’ and ladies’ casualwear and in smart stationery and luxury packaging. 

I had dreamed of having my own brand for a number of years and toyed with a couple of ideas along a stationery theme before deciding that my own passion for home fragrance made from clean and natural ingredients was the way forwards.  Next I needed a look, a point of difference, and as I’ve always loved monochrome I decided that should be the focus for our packaging and printed textiles.  I was slightly concerned that my own love of monochrome would not be widely appreciated, I needn’t have worried, I discovered that a black and white look is universally adored, and can look on trend but also classic.  We like to think that Brownstone does classic with a twist, (that is my name after all!) and it fits the brief of designing a product that has longevity, is not trend driven but still looks contemporary. 

Our ethos is style, quality and originality, at an affordable price but also with a conscience as we like to do our bit for the environment - our UK-made FSC-accredited packaging is recyclable, we use biodegradable cello as well as offering refills for our diffusers and candles. 

Originally based in Surrey we recently relocated to the countryside outside Bath with sheep and baby lambs right outside the office window!
