Create a beautifully personal piece of botanical art with this hand embroidered initial artwork, combining delicate flower imagery with tactile textile embroidery.
Each artwork features your chosen letter, individually hand embroidered onto fine art paper using softly textured yarn. Surrounding the initial is a delicate botanical composition created from flowers that were originally pressed by me in a traditional flower press, before being carefully digitised and incorporated into the finished artwork.
The combination of pressed flower imagery, textured paper and hand embroidery gives the piece a wonderfully tactile quality, bringing together traditional flower pressing and textile techniques in a contemporary piece of floral wall art.
Made individually to order with the initial of your choice, it makes a thoughtful personalised gift for a new baby, birthday, wedding, anniversary or new home, as well as a beautiful addition to a cottage-inspired bedroom, nursery or gallery wall.
The neutral palette and softly faded flowers have a timeless, understated feel that works particularly well in country, cottagecore and botanical interiors.
Each piece reflects the way I work at Contempfleury: beginning with real flowers, preserving them through traditional flower pressing, and combining their delicate forms with my background in textiles and embroidery.
