Contempfleury
At Contempfleury, I create botanical wall art, greetings cards and homewares inspired by the timeless beauty of flowers and the comforting textures of embroidery.
Every design begins with flowers that I carefully press and preserve before combining them with hand embroidery, creating contemporary botanical illustrations that celebrate both nature and traditional craftsmanship. Whether it's a playful cat, a charming teddy bear or an elegant wildflower, each piece is designed to bring warmth, character and a little everyday joy to your home.
I believe the objects we surround ourselves with should be beautiful, thoughtfully made and cherished for years to come. My collections are created to suit both country cottages and contemporary interiors, making meaningful gifts that can be enjoyed long after the occasion has passed.
Flowers have always inspired me—not just for their beauty, but for their ability to lift our spirits and connect us with the changing seasons.
Every original design begins with carefully pressed flowers, combined with soft, tactile embroidery stitched using luxurious silk and alpaca yarn. This unique combination of botanical preservation and textile illustration gives each piece its distinctive character, celebrating the fleeting beauty of nature through handcrafted design.
From embroidered artworks to greetings cards and botanical homewares, every Contempfleury creation is made to be treasured rather than thrown away.
I'm Leah, the designer and maker behind Contempfleury. After studying Constructed Textiles at The Royal College Of Art in London, I established my studio in Devon, where I create botanical artwork inspired by the British countryside.
Years of experimenting with flower pressing, textile techniques and embroidery have shaped every collection. Behind each finished piece are countless pressed flowers that didn't quite work, embroidery samples, colour trials and hours of refining designs. That process allows me to create products that combine artistry with craftsmanship, using only the techniques and materials that produce the most beautiful results.
Today I continue to press flowers by hand and combine them with contemporary embroidery to create sustainable botanical artwork, stationery and homewares that celebrate the quiet beauty of nature.
