Blooming - Mixed Media Patchwork Embroidery Hoop

The Cotton Reel is a studio/workshop set up that offers unique, bespoke pictures and hoops in various sizes.

Each one carefully designed and created using vintage fabrics, maps and buttons incorporating printing and stitching for individual commissions.

There is no theme that cannot be created using customer's personalised thoughts and ideas in the framed creations.
From births to weddings, new homes to anniversaries, graduations to special birthdays there really is no limit.
 
If you require a commission, a photograph of the artwork will be sent to you prior to framing and mounting in order so that you are completely satisfied prior to completion.
Each piece of artwork is carefully created and individually wrapped.

Many pieces of fabric and maps have been carefully sourced from vintage fairs, where I can recycle as many materials as possible.

My inspiration and drive has come from my childhood memories of my mum collecting fabrics and treasured items breathing new life into them and my dad's artistic and practical guidance. Following on from this I studied Interior Design and Surface Pattern to then become a Greetings card and wrapping paper designer.
