Asymmetric Harvest Mouse and Wheat Studs Earrings

I’m Emily and I started By Emily Jewellery in September 2011 from my kitchen table in London. After several years renting a bench near Hatton Garden (London’s jewellery quarter), I now work from my workshop - a renovated Victorian Laundry House in our cottage garden in rural Northamptonshire. I am lucky enough to work full time on my business alongside the busy juggling act of raising our two boys. 

My jewellery collections are unmistakably English, intricately handmade with exquisite attention to detail and inspired by nature and classic stories. I specialise in the ancient technique of lost wax casting which I use to create silver and gold wildlife miniatures that appear alive and untamed. Tiny details have always been important to me, this is reflected in each little piece whether that be lifting the lid of a teapot to reveal a mouse, hares bouncing on tiny silver springs or twinkly diamond dew drops set in a twig. I have recently launched a special jewellery collection, this is a glittering collection of wedding and engagement rings, luxury earrings and necklaces. I also make bespoke pieces, working with my customers to design and create something unique, this includes making from new and sourcing stones as well as remodelling gold and precious stones of sentimental value giving them a new story. My hope is that my jewellery brings as much joy to their owners as it has given me to make it.

When I am not in the workshop you will find me pottering around our 300 year old cottage (a very slow renovation), chasing escaped chickens around our garden, wondering the fields, woods and streams with our wild hearted children, or adventuring in our camper van.
