The old-fashioned bell tinkles when you enter the florist's shop. Buckets of gloriously festive blooms stand on display vying for attention amidst the opulent foliage bouquets. Hands busily work, creating the most beautiful garlands; snipping, plumping, gathering and tying the stems into works of art. Splashes of water mix with the stems, leaves and moss that have been discarded and which are strewn across the slate floor. Verdant green jewels crushed underfoot by the busyness of the artisans.
