'Dahlias' is a framed original illustration which has been created by hand with ink and watercolour in a flowing, natural style.
The antique frame is a green and cream coloured wood with the remains of old gold paint on the leaves. It's is in pre-loved antique condition with the dings and dents of an old piece. It comes with an old hanging hook and original glass. It's not been possible to give the frame an accurate age.
Frame size; 20 x 20 cm
Painted on 200gsm Zerkall paper which was produced by Papierfabrik Zerkall, a mill operating since the 16th century in the Rur Valley in Germany. The mill closed permanently in 2022 and this piece was purchased in the mid 1990s. The paper itself is a rare piece.
