This fluted ceramic pendant light exists at the quiet intersection of sculpture and function. Handcrafted in Oxfordshire using traditional stoneware, the hand-applied cobalt blue surface responds to every shift in light throughout the day, casting geometric shadows that move and shift across your walls. Whether suspended from the ceiling or mounted as a side lamp, it brings both warmth and a singular visual presence to any space you inhabit. No two pieces are ever the same, which is precisely the point.
Form & Character
The fluted form is architectural and tactile. Ribbed surfaces catch the eye and invite touch, while the organic geometry reads differently depending on where you stand. From directly below, the form opens like a flower. From the side, the ribs create a visual rhythm that pulls you in. The brass fitting sits elegantly at the crown, a small refinement that anchors the piece visually and speaks to care in the details. This is functional ware that earns its place on display—not because it performs a duty, but because it holds the room with quiet confidence. The interplay of light and shadow transforms it constantly.
Made for the Table. Built for Display.
Live with this pendant as your side lamp on a shelf or bedside table, where the diffused light is gentle and contemplative—ideal for reading or those quiet evenings at home. Or suspend it from the ceiling in your entryway, living room, or kitchen, where it becomes the first thing your eye settles on when you enter. The brass fitting and hand-finished stoneware age beautifully with time, their surfaces deepening and changing. Whether used as functional lighting or as sculptural presence, it rewards being inhabited and observed daily. You can move it between rooms. You can live with it differently as your needs or seasons change.
Handcrafted in Oxfordshire
Each pendant is thrown by hand on the wheel at Brooker Ceramics studio in Oxfordshire. The stoneware is shaped and refined, then the maker applies the cobalt blue by hand using a calligraphy brush—each stroke individual, deliberate, unrepeatable. This is not a mass-produced industrial product. No two pieces are the same. You can see the maker's hand in every subtle variation of the form, in the inconsistent edges of the hand-applied blue, in the way the surface catches light. This variation is not a flaw. It is evidence of the care taken in making it. It is proof that someone made this, for you, by hand.
Quality & Care
Fired to high temperature, this stoneware is dense, durable, and built to last for years. The hand-applied cobalt blue is sealed and stable, unaffected by light exposure. Care is straightforward: dust gently with a soft cloth. The brass fitting is solid and will develop a warm natural patina over time. Use with any standard bulb or LED—the pendant accommodates both. The ceramic surface is chip resistant and will show its age with grace. This is a piece made to be lived with, handled, moved between rooms, and genuinely enjoyed.

No two pieces are the same because each one is made by hand, for someone who values craft.
