It doesn't get any sweeter that this. A hand painted wooden strawberry with a healthy dose of love inside in the form of a secret message. Legend has it that when two people split a strawberry, they’ll fall in love. Our favourite red berry dates back to Ancient Rome where it was considered the symbol of Venus, the goddess of love, because of its bright red colour and intoxicating taste. Strawberries can also symbolise love, friendship and happiness and are also symbolic of purity, childbirth and fertility.
Whether its an anniversary gift, birthday treat or a little something to say thanks for being so sweet, these strawberries make a lovely keepsake that can be kept forever. And did you know it's tradition to give something made of wood for the fifth wedding anniversary? How perfect is that. Of course you don't need a special occasion to show someone how much you love them, just because is a good enough reason.
From harvest to heart within days, these strawberries are the perfect gift for that someone special. They become more versatile if you use your imagination. They make excellent place settings for that summer al fresco dinner party or summer wedding.
Just let us know the message you would like included. We will print and roll this into a scroll and tuck inside the strawberry. The message can be up to 100 characters long (including spaces and punctuation) If you would rather the scroll blank so you can write you own message please leave the personalisation box blank.
If you would like to pop something inside the strawberry you will need to remove the scroll. There is space to fit a tiny piece of jewellery or a lindor style chocolate, or a folded up lottery ticket (to give you some ideas)
Each strawberry comes nestled in straw in its own little cardboard tub, tied up with twine, ready to give.
The strawberries are approx 7cm x 4cm.
The packaging is approx 9 cm x 6 cm.
