The Joan pinafore dress is a fabulous everyday wardrobe staple. This is a favourite with customers of all ages. Featuring a beautifully soft luxury needlecord, this dress makes a statement. A pinafore with difference. Joan has a full gathered skirt for freedom of movement. A timeless classic that will work hard for you. Roomy enough to layer in the cooler months. Length is below the knee.
Both models are 165cm in height. Black version, model is a UK size 10 and is wearing a size 2. Ember version, model is a UK size 12 and wearing a size 2.
The Story Joan was my mum’s older sister. Joan worked at the local Royal Ordnance Factory during WW2. The girls often wrote messages and put them inside the munition's boxes. One soldier wrote back to Joan and on a visit to Withnell, he brought the gift of a peach. My mum was amazed as she had never seen a peach before. She wrapped it in a cloth and kept it as long as possible. It was delicious when she ate it! A classic work style dress is very fitting to remember Joan.

Our suppliers have been carefully selected for their sustainability and eco-friendliness. Our materials and trims are made from natural materials and are all recyclable at the end of their hopefully long life. We send our orders in biodegradable and home recyclable packaging.
Fabric and Care
100% cotton corduroy OEKO TEX certified. Cool wash and hang to dry. Iron as required. We recommend ironing corduroy on the reverse to preserve the pile.
