This design arises from an image taken in Iceland where there are large fields of lupins in flower in summer. These were brought in to stabilise the volcanic soil and have done so well they now cover large areas.
Although these fields are ideal as background to images of Icelandic horses, they are also a thing of beauty in their own right.
The scarf is created in Silk Chiffon, which has a wonderfully soft, bright character. The beautiful hand rolled edge picks out the purple of the lupins
The scarf measures 160 x 50cm (63 x 20 inches)
